![]() Now a 16 yr would get frustrated in minutes. I remember when I could put a 6 yr old in front of a Lego game and they could play for hours. Most of side stuff requires several attempts adding to (replay) time. Instead we get games like this where the actual movie-specific reference is just for a couple of hours and then you spend the rest of the game on stupid stuff. I remember back when TT actually made Lego games that had stories and focused on them with the extra stuff being just that. Yet another Lego game where the story takes a back seat to the open world running around doing meaningless stuff so the game isn't over in 2 Yet another Lego game where the story takes a back seat to the open world running around doing meaningless stuff so the game isn't over in 2 hours. Overall this is my favourite Lego game and one of my absolute favourite games of the last generation. The music is great as you'd expect and there is voice work exclusive to the game. The game is absolutely beautiful and seems somehow smoother than LOTR. The collection of loot is never a chore, I enjoyed collecting it as I went along and it gave me more incentive to explore both in the overworld and in levels after achieving 'master burglar'. ![]() This slight change in dynamic adds to the sense of freedom. Often the path will be blocked by something like rubble which requires an explosive or another obstacle requiring a particular ability. Another thing to note, in LOTR the next section of the map would be blocked by the next level. Thankfully there are numerous puzzles that are not simply solved with abilities and these tend to have riddles as clues (albeit simple ones). It would be nice if instead they gave us clear descriptions of what all the abilities/items do and let us turn off hints completely. decide to tell you exactly which one to use at each puzzle and turning hints off doesn't appear to prevent this. There is an immense amount of abilities and items, unfortunately T.T. For example, this time rather than burning some vines to get a white brick, you would instead open access to a cave, in which there would be another puzzle. The over world is easily as big as that in LOTR, but has greater depth. Whilst the game only covers the first two movies, make no mistake, it is huge. have gone a step further and given this game even more reasons to put it out in front. Story and character wise I prefer the Hobbit, which gave this game a bit of a head start. Not to mention the fact that the game was absolutely beautiful. A huge overworld to explore with absolutely tons to do. ![]() As adventure games are my favourite, Lego LOTR had stood out as the best in the series for me. Players utilize and combine the Dwarves’ unique abilities to solve a diverse array of Quests. Along the way, he is introduced to ravenous Trolls, dangerous Orcs and, of course, Gollum and his precious Ring. Bilbo leaves the comforts of the Shire on a journey through Middle-earth to help the Dwarves reclaim their lost Kingdom of Erebor within the Lonely Mountain. The interactive game of LEGO The Hobbit allows gamers to play along with their favorite scenes from the films, and follows the Hobbit Bilbo Baggins as he is recruited by the Wizard Gandalf to aid Thorin Oakenshield and his Company of Dwarves. The interactive game of LEGO From the makers of LEGO The Lord of the Rings, comes LEGO The Hobbit, inspired by the first two films in The Hobbit Trilogy: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug as well as the collection of LEGO The Hobbit constructions sets.
